Meet Our Certified Staff

Dr. Chris Dupuis, DVM, CCRP
Dr. Chris Dupuis attended the University of Illinois for his undergraduate studies (1995–1999) and continued on at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2003. Later in his career, he pursued additional education in animal rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP).
Dr. Dupuis is the owner of Wheatland Animal Hospital and provides medical oversight for both general practice and rehabilitation services here in Naperville, Illinois. Patients undergoing rehabilitation are first evaluated by Dr. Dupuis, who assesses their medical condition and helps guide their overall rehabilitation care.

Stephanie Cotto, CVT, CCRP
Stephanie graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2008. Her interest in neurology and rehabilitation began after her corgi underwent back surgery (hemilaminectomy) in 2013, an experience that sparked her passion for recovery and mobility care. She went on to work in the Neurology Department at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center (PVSEC), where she gained hands-on experience supporting neurology patients in rehabilitation and recovery.
Stephanie moved to Illinois in 2015 and has been part of the Wheatland team ever since. In 2019, she became certified in canine rehabilitation (CCRP) through the University of Tennessee and is currently completing the Canine Manual Therapy Certification Course through the same program.
Stephanie leads the rehabilitation program, working closely with Dr. Dupuis to implement and adjust treatment plans throughout recovery. She is known for her calm, compassionate approach and is frequently recognized by clients for the comfort and trust she builds with their pets.
